Sides are split when it comes to The Bachelor Australia. You’re either one of those women who won’t miss an episode; you’re a woman who refuses to put themselves through the pain or you watch it for the romance. You dream that perhaps one day, your other half will miraculously sweep you off your feet, throw you into a gorgeous car, a gourmet hamper all packed, and whisk you off somewhere, just like The Bachelor.
If you’re hoping for the latter, let’s face it, it could be a very long time before you get to enjoy ‘The Bachelor Experience,’ even if you were to drop hints. It seems that many Aussie blokes these days lack a little romantic flair. So, why not make it happen yourself? Just imagine how nice it would be relaxing on a yacht, wine in hand eating grapes. Or sipping a glass of champagne with a board of beautiful cheeses and chocolate on a secluded beach.
But where to start? What could you do that’s out of the ordinary and truly in the style of The Bachelor? Well, that’s why we’re writing this, to share some date ideas with you that you can bring to life.
Go to an art class – It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner, find an art class in your city, paint your creation and swap them.
Hot air ballooning – There’s nothing quite like the view at the top and an excuse to cuddle up to stay warm.
Parasailing – More of an adventurous couple? Then parasailing is for you.
A spa day – The ultimate in relaxation and the perfect chance to connect.
Rent your dream car and go on a driving adventure– Drive along the coast or through the mountains in your favourite sports car or a classic, this is a date you won’t forget.
Rent a couple of Vespas and go on a riding adventure–This is all about having lots of fun and letting your hair down!
Do a restaurant hop – Turn going out for dinner into a five-course affair, all at separate restaurants. Start somewhere for drinks, somewhere different for entrée, main, dessert and finish off with after dinner drinks!
Go fruit picking – Find a local farm and do some fruit picking. The perfect chance to get outdoors in beautiful surroundings and have a good talk at the same time.
Go kayaking – Another option for the outdoorsy, try paddling your own kayaks or get cosy in a double.
Go camping – There’s nothing more romantic than sitting by a crackling fire and staring into the starry night sky.
Meet at a local landmark – Meet at a local landmark in your city whether it’s a lookout, a mountain, a tower. Enjoy the view and have a bit to eat while savouring the moment.
Head to a free outdoor concert – Pack your gourmet picnic hamper, picnic rug and head to an outdoor concert.
Let’s face it. Not everyone has a romantic streak, but that doesn’t mean that YOU can’t make a romantic date happen with a bit of planning and inspiration. Remember, The Bachelor doesn’t arrange the dates, the producer does!
